ABSTRACT
The final chapter summarizes the contributions made by the different chapters in this volume. It explores the perspectives taken in analyzing translation and interpreting technologies qua product and qua process, and presents the results, establishing a dialogue among the chapters that stresses their complementarity. The chapter underscores the clash between the heteronormative, male-dominated culture of technology and the feminized professions of translation and interpreting. It further emphasizes the potential of research in translation and interpreting studies to enrich the development and implementation of translation and interpreting technologies while securing the rights, well-being, and prospects of all the stakeholders, including translators and interpreter.
