Dr Barry Benson has recently retired from a long career owning and running health care facilities. His account of his spiral into addiction, impaired ability to practice medicine, and then recovery is startlingly honest. Along the way, he provides useful information about programs for children of physicians affected by addiction. This story contains mention of a suicide attempt and reckless behavior that harmed patients.
