ABSTRACT
The chapter provides answers to the research questions formulated in the introduction and presents the conclusions drawn from previous chapters. It demonstrates the level of digital competences among Erasmus+ project leaders and discusses the importance of such competences in managing projects and achieving planned goals during the COVID-19 pandemic. The key role of social competences in this context is presented here as well. The chapter also summarises the level of digital maturity of institutions participating in the European Universities Initiative and compares it with American universities. Finally, based on the research findings, the chapter attempts to predict how the future progression of educational institutions towards Education 4.0 will manifest, identifies potential threats to their process of digital transformation and recognises the area for future research.
