ABSTRACT

Crowdsourcing is now seen as a novel paradigm for scientific cooperation, aligning with openness and inclusiveness. It serves as an alternative strategy for organizing researchers’ work and a model for practicing science. Scientists integrate crowdsourcing into their everyday lives, recognizing its role in cost reduction, scaling up research impact, democratizing science, and accelerating discoveries. Additionally, crowdsourcing contributes to solving social problems by enabling scientists to create valuable knowledge. This chapter aims at consolidating current scientific achievements in management science.
