ABSTRACT
This chapter synthesizes the content of the monograph and provides major conclusions. In particular, we discuss how the main aim was accomplished and how the original research framework has been corroborated by the empirical study. Furthermore, we explain how the research problem and research gaps were addressed. The theoretical achievement, in the form of new constructs that represent the conditions for cluster upgrading in knowledge-intensive industries, was emphasized together with the summary of the contribution to science and policy.
