ABSTRACT
Radical and just transformations towards sustainability necessitate critical consideration and the inclusion of more-than-human perspectives in diverse decision-making processes. This chapter demonstrates how to incorporate multi-species thinking into forum play and discusses the relevance of this approach for sustainability education. Forum play allows for an exploration of the complexity that arises when we listen to the voices of more-than-human actors, highlighting how they are often overlooked and oppressed in current environmental decision-making. It encourages students to think creatively and critically, imagining different ways of making decisions that include all beings. This chapter exemplifies how this method can be applied in urban planning contexts as a way to introduce the idea of considering multiple species, challenging the dominant focus on humans.
