ABSTRACT

This chapter outlines a performance design linked to assessed pieces of work, where students prepare in groups and then enact provocative performances individually. Performances focus attention on destructive routines in everyday life that contribute to biodiversity loss, with a view to positively generate awareness and new routines. The exercise also provides an opportunity for the students to explore topics related to biodiversity loss using a transdisciplinary approach, with the goal of inspiring a more holistic understanding of the issue, to practice different modes of communication, and to reflect on their own position in relation to global sustainability challenges.
