ABSTRACT
This chapter aims to equip you with the essential tools to explore your datasets before applying automated content analysis algorithms. To do so, it offers an overview of the dataset and outlines the workflows needed for data preprocessing, exploration, analysis, and visualization. We then demonstrate how to compute descriptive statistics for single variables (univariate) and two variables (bivariate), along with appropriate visualizations.
