ABSTRACT
This chapter is an exit point; not an ending but a momentary stabilisation of place-space journeys so far. The point of this book was to collect together thinking and writing done over the past twelve years, and to flesh out the concept of place-spaces. This book is a collection of relations, events, and happenings that materialised from both day-to-day engagement with the world and data from two research projects. Employing writing as a method of inquiry and Academic Writing Otherwise, the stories in this book develop a theorised and multi-layered account of place-spaces as a response to the ever-increasing contemporary challenges. Feminist (new) materialism and feminist materialist relational time offered a folding and unfolding of experiences and the connections between human, non-human, and multispecies kin. Walking, thinking, and writing with relationality surfaced entanglements and encounters that thickened time, agitating and transforming understandings of life. The productive nature of place-spaces becomes entwined with situated knowledges, and this has been exemplified in each of the previous chapters. Place-spaces can provide an expansive way to reveal, render, surface, re-imagine, and register bodily experiences and this exit point is not an ending but a continuation of life elsewhere.
