ABSTRACT

In this chapter, we examine the complex interaction between thinking and writing as the direction for your findings becomes increasingly clear and you begin the process of writing up the story that now needs to be told. We reflect on what it is that makes the writing difficult at this stage and provide guidance on thinking through the merits of the available options for displaying, presenting, and illustrating that which you have come to know by virtue of having constructed and analyzed your distinctive data set. Further, we offer suggestions for how to avoid some of the more predictable difficulties that writers might face at this stage.
