ABSTRACT
In Chapter 8, I articulated the basics of personal persistence over time and suggested how presentism and endurantism can have a good fit with philosophical theology. In Chapter 9, I defended presentism from one common objection. In this chapter, I want to extend my defence of presentism by considering a series of issues related to eternalism in order to draw out the implications for religious doctrine. I start by mentioning the alleged benefits of eternalism for theology. Then I argue that eternalism is inconsistent with creation ex nihilo, human freedom, salvation, and life after death.
