ABSTRACT
The rapid proliferation of artificial intelligence (AI) implies that addressing AI's ethical and societal implications through legislative frameworks is crucial. The European Union's AI Act exemplifies a human-centric approach, emphasizing transparency and fairness. These may serve as a judgment reference for the evaluation of AI in the future. In the face of AI, evaluators must adapt, integrating digital skills and fostering collaboration in their practice. We foresee an evolvement of evaluation teams, integrating data scientists and AI solutions that combined reflect a future of collaborative intelligence. Future evaluation research should embrace an integrated approach, exploring work practices, interdisciplinary collaboration, using both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, and considering diverse stakeholder perspectives to grasp the implications of AI for various constituents.
