ABSTRACT
The goal of this chapter is to present the methodology of the conducted empirical research. In this chapter we set formulate research objectives and questions, define the stages of the conducted research process, develop a catalogue of methods and tools used in the research process and describe the data sources used in the research process. The general objective of our research was to identify the risk profiles of selected enterprises representing the financial, construction and IT sectors before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. We also set 5 specific objectives. For the research, we qualified 107 companies from the financial (28), construction (38) and IT (41) sectors, all of them listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange both before and still during the pandemic.
