ABSTRACT
The concept of inclusiveness integrates principles linked to the defence of human rights, redistributive and procedural justice, capacity-building, and the preservation of ecosystems. It has a robust normative component striving for all individuals to fully enjoy the collective life, with the right to an ecologically healthy environment, well-expressed in the claim of ‘Leaving no one behind’. Thus, the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals must articulate socioeconomic, ecological and political dimensions in highly participatory arrangements that enable the legitimate and full participation of excluded minorities. Above all, inclusiveness is about building more symmetrical relationships within societies and between humanity and nature.
