ABSTRACT
Paradigm shifts in organizational culture reflect transformations in the way in which an organization defines, shapes, and maintains its values and norms. Traditional hierarchical structures are beginning to make way for flatter, more flexible management models that promote cooperation and innovativeness. The new approaches place greater emphasis on the openness, transparency, and engagement of employees, instead of control and authoritarianism. The pursuit of sustainable development and social responsibility leads to increasing integration of ethical and ecological values in organizational culture. In addition, technological advances make it possible for organizations to create more integrated virtual work environments, which requires adapting organizational culture to the changing reality. This chapter examines the shifting paradigms of organizational culture, as organizations adapt to the digital age and embrace new technologies.
