ABSTRACT

The creation of knowledge in management science involves systematically studying and analysing management processes in various organizational contexts. Creating knowledge in management science is a continuous process and responds to the organization’s varying challenges and needs in the dynamic business environment. For practical sciences, creating theory is a particular challenge, partially due to the interdisciplinarity of the issues and the research field and partly because of limited methodological and theoretical cognitive reflection. Management does not focus on cognitive theory dilemmas but rather on specific organizational problems. However, as in other social disciplines, it also faces questions about the status of theoretical reflection. This chapter delves into the dynamic process of knowledge creation within management science. From research methodologies to innovation strategies, this chapter examines the intricate mechanisms through which new insights are generated, challenging readers to rethink traditional approaches to knowledge acquisition.
