ABSTRACT
The chapter begins with a definition of the concept of the paradigm and its major influence in the science. The different approaches to paradigms in management (all of which are partial paradigms) are examined, along with their advantages and limitations. A new vision for the management paradigm, which is applicable to all human entities, is then presented, including its substantive features. Two types of management paradigm—general and partial—are determined and analyzed. Special attention is paid to the importance and implication of the general management paradigm in management philosophy, theory, and practice. This chapter provides the reader with a comprehensive presentation of the management paradigm approaches in the management literature, the first definition of the management paradigm concept and its two main facets and categories, and its crucial importance and impact on the development of entity management from a philosophical, theoretical, and practical point of view.
