ABSTRACT

The introduction presents the motivations, concerns, and main theses of the project. First, it offers reasons to believe that secular morality is seriously impoverished without a sense of spirituality. Second, it introduces Aristotelianism, Existentialism, and Confucianism as the three historical views that are considered as ways to resolve the spirituality problem. Third, it introduces the concept of tradition and lays out the general thesis that traditionalism, or the love of and devotion to tradition, is a resolution to the spirituality problem. Finally, it provides a chapter-by-chapter summary of the whole.
