ABSTRACT
The conclusion synthesises insights for gender theory and contemporary social analysis and identifies key theoretical contributions, including critique as eutopian transformation, the isomorphism of masculinity structures across individual, institutional and societal levels, and the valorisation of femininity and care within masculine self-relations. The conclusion contrasts emerging authoritarian finance capitalism with eutopian transformative possibilities. It warns of threats from neopatriarchal, anti-democratic financial elites while highlighting counter-tendencies towards caring leadership and emancipatory global governance. The author argues that subjective transformations towards care and dialogue create “eutopian” practices that can generate emancipatory futures through quiet revolutions in the present.
