ABSTRACT
The third key aspect in course alignment (remembering that we are using backward design: (1) student learning outcome (SLO), (2) assessment, and (3) instructional strategies) is instructional strategies. In this chapter we will learn about the importance of teaching and learning activities as well as the many different types of instructional strategies that can be used for different topics and situations. The use of artificial intelligence (AI) to assist with selecting and developing instructional strategies will be demonstrated along with how AI can be an instructional tool in itself.
