This brief final chapter completes the circle by returning to the topics presented in introduction, summarising our argument concerning the benefits of a ‘weirding perspective’ on civilisation. Instead of brushing aside phenomena that seem weird and monstrous as insignificant curiosities of little consequence, it engages with them and weaves them into the human story, creating a richer and more complete account of our world.
