ABSTRACT
The chapter presents the results of empirical research on the relationships between museums and their stakeholders. First, the stakeholders of the museums included in the study were identified and characterised based on the stakeholder salience model (subchapter 5.1). Subsequent subchapters are devoted to characterising the forms of relationships between stakeholders and the museums studied (subchapter 5.2), and to characterising the dynamics of the relationships, together with their contextual determinants (subchapter 5.3). The final subchapter presents the results of the cross-analysis. The results obtained made it possible to answer the following question: How are stakeholder relationships identified, established, and exploited by museums?
