ABSTRACT

The conclusion reflects on some of the lessons learned from the empirical material and seeks to draw out some broader reflections about what this means for our nuclear future. In this way, it is designed to offer both conceptual insights into debates about how we understand our contemporary nuclear world, but also policy guidance on what this means for issues such as the likelihood of nuclear use, the shape and nature of proliferation, challenges to deterrence and the key areas of tension and friction that must be addressed.
