ABSTRACT
This chapter offers an examination of some influential scriptural passages relevant to natural theology. It is shown that, contrary to a number of theologians and biblical scholars, the classical approach to natural theology is affirmed by a number of passages in the Christian Scripture. In particular, passages such as Psalm 19, Romans 1:20, Acts 14:15–17, and Acts 17:24–28 (taken together and interpreted properly in light of their contexts and historical background) imply that God has revealed himself in such a way that humans have the ability to infer his existence from nature. I explain that a number of Biblical passages (e.g., 1 Cor 1:18–2:16) which have been cited by Radical Fideists against the classical approach to natural theology have been misinterpreted (e.g., taken out of context).
