ABSTRACT
The second chapter discusses the framework of national and European legislation for energy clusters in Poland. The definition of an energy cluster is followed by a review of legal provisions to regulate the structure of the Polish energy sector. Furthermore, the chapter presents the support policies targeted at energy clusters and the role of these entities in achieving economic, social, and environmental objectives for sustainable development. The chapter synthesizes the institutional framework for energy clusters, focusing on the institutions that offer general support, financing, and governing contract agreements in these energy communities. An evaluation of the environment for the development of energy clusters in Poland is also included in these considerations.
