ABSTRACT
Chapter 3 explains a research framework and methodological approach to evaluate the development of energy clusters. These settlements will guide the empirical study of Polish energy cluster initiatives as policy tools, with a focus on the identification of their development phase, barriers, and drivers of their advancement, as well as the country context of distributed energy industrial transformation. The research framework is followed by an explanation of the research methods and techniques, as well as the research procedure for evaluating energy cluster development. Furthermore, this chapter expands on the research findings by presenting the context of Polish energy clusters and outlining their attributes.
