In 2023, the Chinese film industry not only swiftly rejuvenated and gradually restored confidence but also demonstrated dynamic growth, showing its potential and conveying a message of hope. This chapter focuses on the major developmental indicators of the Chinese film industry, analysing the overall situation of the Chinese film market, and sorting out the development trends of the Chinese film industry from several perspectives, including box office performance, film production, and theatre chains. The chapter also examines the role of artificial intelligence in promoting the film industry's development in terms of innovation, production, special effects technology, precise marketing, and personalised viewing experiences. It is argued that artificial intelligence can optimise film production processes, enhance production efficiency, and provide a more diverse, personalised experience for audiences.
