ABSTRACT
This chapter describes central challenges related to food business and economic development. It shares key facts, trends, and underlying systemic and structural problems. The chapter then shares information about key leverage points in this area, concepts that are supported through evidence, impact, and investment. After that we will go over the key actors, actors with the necessary agency, authority, and capability. The chapter then shares a set of specific Food Policy Council (FPC) achievements in the area of food business and economic development gathered by the national Food Policy Networks project.
