ABSTRACT
This chapter explores digital colonialism, linking the global technology industry with exploitative labour practices and environmental damage. This has had profound consequences for Indigenous communities and the Global South. The chapter explains the continued importance of colonialism to digital modernity and supports arguments in favour of epistemological pluralism.
