ABSTRACT
In the concluding chapter, the author summarizes the book's main findings, answers the research questions, and sketches a prognosis for the future India–EU partnership. He reviews India's main policy goals towards the EU and evaluates the concrete benefits India has gained from this relationship in three areas: economic, political, and international. The author contends that engagement with the EU has been instrumental in realizing India's economic, political, and major power aspirations. However, the final findings challenge the idea of India being a “like-minded partner” of the EU in the liberal international order. The author identifies the variables that will influence future cooperation between the two, and finally suggests closer EU–India cooperation in reforming the global order.
