ABSTRACT
Chapter Six presents empirical findings on domestic regime cooptation strategies as implemented within the environmental sector. The chapter begins with a brief thematic introduction of cooptation in Morocco. Through case studies on land grabbing, renewable energies, mineral resources, water management, and the inclusion of the Western Sahara territory in these patterns of action, the chapter introduces the central actors and dynamics of cooptation within Morocco’s environmental sector.
