ABSTRACT
This chapter is a reflection on the life of my teacher, I Made Regug. A well-respected mask maker and Topeng actor, I Made Regug created masks that were (and continue to be) sought after by dancers and collectors across Bali. Besides being a top craftsman, Regug was also popular as a Penasar and performed with some of the most famous dancers of his time. As Regug's student, I write this in memory of him and of his legacy in preserving the art of traditional Topeng craft and performance.
