ABSTRACT
This chapter will present the concept of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in conjunction with sustainable high growth of firms. It will outline the structural characteristics and the differences in definitional approaches to entrepreneurial ecosystems. The most commonly studied components of entrepreneurial ecosystems and their impact on firms’ growth will be reviewed to come up with the hypotheses for empirical investigation. This chapter will conclude with an analysis of economic policy based on entrepreneurial ecosystems.
