ABSTRACT
Building on Dewey’s concept of transaction, this chapter examines how aesthetic experience arises through adopting an objective, non-personal perspective on the mutual interaction between a being and its environment. In tango, transaction manifests as shared awareness and distributed agency between dance partners and music. This transactional awareness underpins performative beauty, enabling the dancer to experience movement as part of a larger, meaningful system.
