ABSTRACT
The author revisits Dewey’s notion of consummation as the culmination of aesthetic experience. This chapter critiques the idea of a singular climax and proposes a model of recurrent, minor consummations that sustain the flow of dancing. It discusses the erotic and transformative dimensions of dancing, validating that performative beauty arises from moments of shared surrender that affirm life as dynamic unities.
