ABSTRACT

Analysis of multispecies collaborations, for example, in animal-assisted education, requires a holistic and interdisciplinary approach. Multispecies ethnography offers new insights into complex questions at the interface of the relationship between humans and animals in educational research. One relevant element of a multispecies ethnography is a change of perspective. Another important aspect concerns the animals’ agency. This provides an opportunity to include animals as coresearchers and accord deeper attention to animal welfare.
