ABSTRACT
Two models are critical in the adventure therapy field to assess client issues and keep these outcomes reliable and valid. The first model, called CHANGES, can be seen as a macro assessment for where the client currently is in their treatment. Changes starts with the CH before the experience, the ANG during the experience, and the ES after the experience. The second model, GRABBSS, stands for goals, readiness, assessment, body, behavior, and stage of development. Within the CHANGES model, CH can stand for context and hypotheses (which occur prior to the experience), ANG for generating action that is novel, and ES for evaluation and the resulting solution-oriented answers to finish this model. The findings of these adventure experiences are extended throughout the intervention.
