ABSTRACT
The chapter explores how the concepts of race and gender have been used in the discourse of development and how racialised and gendered differences have been constructed. It also maps convergences between race, gender and capitalism and discusses the co-optation of critical concepts in the discourse with the empirical example of a strategy paper on feminist development policy from the German government.
