ABSTRACT

This chapter presents the results of research conducted among people employed in the SME sector. The obtained results were presented in graphical and descriptive form. To verify the formulated hypotheses, intergroup comparisons of the determinants of the level of trust in managers, co-workers and technology were carried out, as well as assessments of the surveyed employees regarding factors influencing the level of trust positively and negatively. As part of the verification of individual hypotheses, the following comparisons were made: groups of people working in enterprises of various sizes, groups of people with different work experience, women and men.

The chapter is divided into six parts. The first part concerns the identification and categorization of factors determining the level of trust in managers in SME sector organizations. The second part identifies and categorizes the factors determining the level of trust in colleagues in organizations from the SME sector. The third part identifies and categorizes the factors that determine the level of trust in technology in SME sector organizations. The fourth part presents the influence of gender on the perception of factors that positively influence the level of trust in co-workers. The fifth part presents the impact of seniority on the structure of factors determining the process of erosion of trust in managers. The sixth part presents research conclusions and implications for management theory and business practice.
