ABSTRACT
In this prelude, Raluca Soreanu introduces the theoretical and clinical approaches to psychic fragmentation that will be at play in the book. Drawing on artistic and clinical material, she outlines the book's imaginary of fragmentation, trauma, and radical plasticity. She also discusses the idea of montage and its relevance for a psychoanalytic theory of psychic splitting. The chapter argues for a minor psychoanalysis, which emerges at the intersection of four types of theoretical-clinical experimentation: a psychoanalysis of scars, a psychoanalysis of organs, an eventful psychoanalysis and a blue psychoanalysis. The prelude also contains a short description of each of the four chapter of the book.
