The concept of autonomy in relation to the concept of freedom: small children lack autonomy. Addiction is also a case of lacking of autonomy: I describe it as a “false” equilibrium A rather than a “good” equilibrium B. People find the local optimum, but not necessarily the global one. Natural language compet is a case of adaptive preferences; here government interference may be problematic?
