ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses the main methods used for assessing the impact of a vaccination programme. Such assessments should generally be repeated over time since, as seen in Chapter 5, some of the impacts of vaccination programmes may only be apparent long after vaccination has been introduced. This chapter focuses on impacts relating to burden of disease and elimination.
