ABSTRACT
Mental health care workers and psychologists in public offices and public institutions in the Western world suffer from a deep frustration that seems to have taken up residence in their bodies and their minds. They feel dependent and alienated in a language that is not theirs and in a bureaucratic behavior that is indirectly and directly pushed upon them. Like the European political environment, the Western mental health care environment seems to be effected by uncertainty, rapid ideological changes strongly influenced by new technology and political disorders beyond European borders. Charismatic persons, ideological changes, and cultural schism cause terms such as fake news, fake truth, and post-factual age. The chapter also presents an overview on the key concepts discussed in this book.
