ABSTRACT

The second part of this book has been devoted to training and to putting Shakespeare's texts into practice. We have explored ways to activate the body, to awaken the listener, to energize Shakespeare's language, to expand the world of the fiction, and to develop and play the Shakespeare “score.” In this final chapter, we will consider ways to rehearse and to spark connections within the ensemble. These suggestions will heighten the actor's focus, commitment to risk, and their sense of vulnerability, as well as forging a connection between the self, the text, and the ensemble.
