ABSTRACT
This chapter examines how people working in architecture play the game of life in relation to the time they devote to work. Building upon Donna Haraway’s (1995, p. 510) contention that “the body is an accumulation strategy in the deepest sense,” it examines how time can affect the physical, mental, and psychological wellbeing of architectural workers in the Neoliberal Age. It focuses on the stresses and freedoms that new managerialism and digital technologies create. These range from over work to lack of work and the value of free or downtime to be inspired and regain energy.
