But there is presented to the modern world a further chronicle of achievement. History has a new means of accurate record. What would we not give for a moving picture of the famous charge of the 600 at Balaklava; or of the tragedy of Julius Caesar at the base of Pompey’s statue in the Forum. These things are perpetuated in imagination upon painted canvas. But what if the same had told the true story?
