ABSTRACT
The primary objective of the EU funded project Digital Repositories Infrastructure Vision for European Research, DRIVER (FP6) and DRIVER II (FP7), was to create a cohesive, robust and flexible, pan-European infrastructure for digital repositories, offering sophisticated services and functionalities for researchers, administrators and the general public. DRIVER's vision was to build a Europe and worldwide Digital Repository infrastructure, which follows the principle of linking users to knowledge.
