ABSTRACT
Migration is as old as mankind: throughout history, people have moved to areas where life is better, or at least appears to be better. Social inequality is closely linked to migration and the challenges that migration brings. The great disparity between different parts of the world is a reason for people to migrate: people will travel from areas where famine prevails to countries blessed with apparent abundance (see Figure 6).
