ABSTRACT
Once upon a time there was a family of viruses, much like other viruses. Some of them liked mutton, others poultry. Some of them multiplied wantonly in the cells they inhabited and smashed up their homes; others, more restrained, practiced a magic which caused their homes to proliferate.
