ABSTRACT

A general construction for the essential hull of a T0-space X is given. If X is embedded in any injective space Y (= a continuous lattice with the Scott topology), then the essential hull of X is given by first taking the continuous lattice M   ⊆   L https://s3-euw1-ap-pe-df-pch-content-public-p.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/9781003072621/6e3dda93-0297-4e21-9483-9ad6f30dbbc7/content/eq2469.tif"/> generated by X, then taking all sups of subsets of X in M, and endowing the latter with the relative topology from Y.
